This is my favorite wine from this producer, my friend Vittore. This is not the richest, nor the flashiest, nor the darkest, nor the most tannic...but, to me, this wine is just about perfect...every year. You should treat yourself.
The San Lorenzo vineyard lies in Verduno, adjacent to the celebrated Monvigliero cru, sharing a southern exposure but positioned at a slightly lower elevation with gentler slopes. The soils are predominately limestone and silt, influenced by the “marne di Sant’Agata,” lending finesse and a precise mineral character.
