100% Chenin Blanc. A bright, fresh, and expressive, with delicate aromas of white peach, pear, citrus, and white flowers. The palate is clean and supple, balancing ripe orchard fruit with lively acidity and a lightly chalky, mineral finish characteristic of Saumur’s limestone soils. The wine is traditionally vinified in tank with a brief skin maceration and direct pressing, preserving the purity and freshness of the Chenin. Enjoy as an aperitif or with oysters, shellfish, simply prepared fish, creamy seafood dishes, or fresh goat cheese.

Details

Domaine Lavigne is a three-generation family estate in Varrains, in the heart of Saumur-Champigny. Antoine and Pascale Lavigne-Véron took over the domaine in 2009, continuing a family tradition that combines traditional Loire winemaking with modern vineyard management and careful parcel-by-parcel observation. The estate farms roughly 45 hectares, with a smaller portion devoted to white wines, and produces a range of Saumur, Saumur-Champigny, Coteaux de Saumur, and Crémant de Loire. Their whites focus on Chenin Blanc and the limestone-rich terroirs of the Saumurois.
