Mount Eden Vineyards Chardonnay Santa Cruz Mountains, 2015

This wine is made of 100% Chardonnay. Youthful and energetic with brimming acidity and soft orchard fruit. It could do well decanted or with some time open before enjoying. We would have it with fried fish tacos and a tropical fruit salsa. Planted at around 2000 feet above sea level on infertile Franciscan shale, the vineyards are 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean and enjoy a cool, but sunny climate above the fog line. The cool sunny skies allow the grapes to develop juicy mouthwatering acidity.
