As a certified organic wine, the Turley Wine Cellars Zinfandel 'Pesenti Vineyard' showcases the unique terroir of the Paso Robles AVA, with its calcareous soil and high elevation. Aged for 15 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, this head-trained, dry-farmed wine is hand harvested and fermented with native yeast. An expertly crafted vintage that debuted in 2000, this wine is best served at a temperature between 55-65ºF, making it the perfect accompaniment for any supper fresh off the grill.

Details

From the Winery: This certified organic estate-owned vineyard was planted in the 1920s on ancient marine calcareous soils. Though the vines are head-trained and dry-farmed, the soil plays the most important role in distinguishing this vineyard on the west side of Paso Robles. The wines have a brightness, with chalk and floral characteristic aromas unique to the site, and to Zinfandel in general.

Aging: 15 months in barrel
