Collection: Zach's Faves

Zach enjoys being active, getting outside and enjoying good food. After college at the University of Rochester, he began to take more of an interest in beer and wine styles, and their cultural significance. Zach graduated from UConn Law School in 2023, but decided that his interests in negotiation and communication were better served in the wine & spirits industry. Now he enjoys the constant learning experience of working in the industry, and loves sharing things learned with others. Before coming to the Wise Old Dog, Zach worked as a sales associate and cheesemonger at a specialty wine and cheese shop, further strengthening his passion for sharing food and culture. Zach has also recently joined the field crew at Sub Edge Farm in Farmington, CT, where he works with hundreds of different vegetable varieties, from seed to harvest. Zach is originally from the Lower Hudson Valley in New York, but now lives in Hartford with his fiancée Christabelle and dog Stella. Outside of work he enjoys cycling, long scenic hikes, and playing tennis.
