Rhône Blends, originating from France's Rhône Valley, typically utilize the grapes Grenache Syrah and Mourvèdre to create complex and enjoyable wines. While many of the notable Rhone Blends come from the Rhone Valley itself, the style has gained popularity in California's Paso Robles, as well in Washington State.

Syrah contributes intense notes of black pepper, smoked meat, and violet, adding layers of complexity to the blend. Mourvèdre brings in additional depth with its earthy tones of leather, tobacco, and game, while Grenache offers a sweet fruitiness and a touch of spice, rounding out the palate.
